Scientific and technical research

There are several ways of conducting research in the Nature Park:

1. Direct contracting of research in accordance with the Management Plan, Annual Programme, and Financial Plan

If a research and implementation of monitoring of the state of species or habitat is provided in the Management Plan, i.e. the Annual Programme, then the research will be contracted with institutions/organizations/associations on an annual basis depending on the type of research.

A contract is signed with them, and the research is conducted collaboratively, i.e. with logistical support of the Public Institution if the nature of research requires it.

2. Implementation of research by the Institutions, without contracting

Institutions register their projects themselves, and the projects include the implementation of some kind of research in a wider area, which includes the area of the Nature Park, too. In this case, the Ministry sends us the Decision issued to the institution/organization/association for the implementation of research, and in the provisions of the Decision it is stated that the Public Institution must be notified about any field work and the implementation of the research.

Results of such research are relevant for the Institutions that carry out the research, and the Public Institution does not always receive a report, i.e. the research results. However, if a research is relevant for the management of the protected area, we ask for the results to be submitted to us.

3. Research for the purpose of writing a graduate thesis/master thesis/doctoral thesis

If a person, in the framework of their educational activities, decides to write a paper directly or indirectly connected to the area of the Nature Park, we are in most cases asked to give information relevant for the paper. In this case, the Institution provides the requested information. If the request includes conducting a survey for the collecting of data necessary for the paper, the Institution provides logistic support depending on their abilities.
